The Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Navarra, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Pompeu Fabra University, and the University of Deusto are the five Spanish universities in Spain with the highest performing, according to the annual classification list of the Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo (Knowledge and Development Foundation) which was presented this Wednesday.
University excellence is concentrated in five regions: Catalonia, Navarra, Madrid, the Basque Country, and the Valencian Community. These five regions have accumulated the highest indicators of good practices.
The ranking analyzes how 79 universities do it in 28 fields of and 3,052 degrees in terms of teaching, research, educational exchange, internationalization and contribution to regional development. The University of Barcelona, the Pontificia Comillas, Carlos III, Ramon Llull, Internacional de Catalunya, Valencia, Rovira i Virgili, Politécnica de Cataluña, Girona and Salamanca also performed very well in all these areas.
