Each session consists on a 1-day personalized (one-on-one) zoom meetings agenda for the selected participants.

Profile of US participants/applicants:
American institutions seeking for study abroad providers in Spain  (Education Abroad and Global Studies Directors, Program Administrators, Advisers. Faculty and Program Directors…).

Fields of Study:
Language, STEM,  Humanities, Law, Design, Business, Health, Communications, Design, Engineering and Technical Careers, among others. 

Type of study abroad programs:
All (Direct-enrollment, Exchange, Faculty-Lead, Internships…)

General Information

The Workshop and Educational trip to Spain is intended for educators and professionals interested in study abroad programs for American students. 

Engineering and Technical Careers are encouraged to participate in the new editions, but it is also open to any other fields such Language, History, Culture, STEM studies, Business, Finance, Law, Health, History, Humanities, Communications, Design.

Potential candidates includes Education Abroad and Global Studies Directors, Program Administrators, Faculty and Program Directors and other specialized advisers and professionals working in Direct-enrolling, Exchange, faculty-lead, Internship or any other program that includes international mobility.

This annual activity is sponsored and fully funded by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones and the association EDUESPAÑA, with the collaboration and support of FULBRIGHT ESPAÑA.

Objetives

To introduce our educational institutions to those educators who might not be familiar with the opportunities they provide to American students, as well as offering a first-hand experience for those that are considering Spain as a destination for their study abroad programs.

These workshops have the added value of an on-site experience for decision makers considering Spain as a destination for their study abroad programs.  

Participation profile

  • Type of institution: US Universities and Colleges (4-yrs programs)

  • Participant/representative: Study abroad directors, programs administrators, coordinators and advisors. Foreign language department faculty and administrators (faculty-led programs).

  • Conditions: First-time participants only. Institutions can participate in this program only once, unless different campus or location, and considering if each office handles its own study abroad programs.

Invitation conditions Onsite format

Invitation covers round-trip airline ticket to Madrid (Spain), hotel accommodations, city transfers, and meals, for the one-week duration of the activity.

The agenda of the workshops will include meetings with Directors and Presidents and program directors of the most prominent public and private educational institutions in Spain.  It will also include scheduled visits to universities and educational center in different provinces, where current programs for foreign students are being offered.
