Recent researches show it: Online University is getting more and more popular. In United States 3.9 million people attended online courses in 2007, that means a 12% growth in the number of students respective to 2006, according to Sloan Consortium data.

On the other hand, and in the same direction of American trends of walking towards online teaching, in Spain, 30% of postgrade studies offer is already available online. “Growing is unstoppable”, say the experts and most of them agree in the point that the best way to handle this new option is combining both, on-campus and online education.

It will be necessary to transform the actual facilities at universities in order to better accommodate to new technologies. Thus, students will be able to interact with each other and with professors more easily and studying will become a more dynamic activity. The main objective is to let the passive attitude of the listening student behind and develop a collaborative university model, which at the same time, will be flexible and high quality.

The Spanish community is one of the most actives at Moddle (an online platform to create online dynamic websites for students). Spanish Universities keep on creating online campuses and furthermore, forming alliances with each order in order to build a bigger and more efficient educational infrastructure.
