Student from the University of California, Irvine has been awarded for her role as Student Ambassador from Spain

The University of California, Irvine will hold on February 16 its IX Ceremony to award the Study in Spain – Student Ambassador of the year; a program launched and supported by ICEX Spain, Export and Investment to promote Spain as a foreign studies destination for students from the U.S.

From all students and universities in the U.S. which participated in this program during 2016, the student from the University of California, Irvine, Kristen Ha, has been the winner of this accolade for her special dedication to promote Spain and its educational system. For her efforts she will enjoy a 7-day trip to Spain.

The award ceremony will be attended by the Consul General of Spain in Los Angeles, Mr. Javier Vallaure de Acha as well as other distinguished representatives from the University of California, Irvine.

The Study in Spain- Student Ambassador Program was initiated in 2008 and it encompasses each year university students from all over the United States to cooperate in the expansion and promotion of Spain as a study destination. During the year the student ambassadors participate in social media and organize activities in the campus which promote Spanish academic institutions.

The X Student Ambassador- Study in Spain Program has already been put in motion, with new students that will devote their efforts during 2017 to promote Spain as a study abroad destination.

On this 16^th day of February, the University of California, Irvine, will inaugurate the fourth “National Symposium of Spanish as the Language of Inheritance,” which is organized by the Spanish and Portuguese Department and with the participation of numerous professors from all over the United States.
